Centre Manager

I am a kaiako who teaches from the heart and I value whakawhanaungatanga within an ECE setting. I believe tamariki need kaiako who are respectful, nurturing, unhurried and in tune with their needs. I believe in child centred learning that fosters curiosity, a love of exploring and empowers tamariki to express their ideas, thoughts, feelings and working theories. I value the importance of play and the outdoor environment and believe that tamariki should be given an abundance of opportunities to engage in these meaningful experiences; enabling them to explore their physical, emotional and social worlds. 

What a responsibility and privilege it is to be part of these early years. With such a significant responsibility it is therefore crucial that as the Centre Manager, I ensure we provide the highest quality of care and learning experiences for our tamariki at Atawhai.
